Located between the two cities of Avignon and Villeneuve-lez-Avignon, the island of Barthelasse is nevertheless cut off from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Come and enjoy the natural wealth of the island, with its banks classified as a Natural Zone of Ecological, Faunistic and Floristic Interest.

They shelter a varied flora composed of forests of white poplars, elms, maples and aquatic plants. many species of birds also find refuge there, such as sparrowhawks, cormorants or herons, as well as significant populations of beavers and other mammals like foxes and wild boars.
