In the heart of Avignon's historic center, nestled on the picturesque Place des Châtaignes, a few steps from the Palais des Papes, the Restaurant O'Papilles Avignon offers inventive and refined traditional cuisine, based on fresh products, selected from local producers and breeders in the region, and processed on site, with passion. For lunch in the sun on the terrace, or in the shade of the pergola, dinner in the air-conditioned room, or for groups in the private "Cantine", the entire restaurant team welcomes you with a smile and kindness!
An unusual venue for events, cooking classes, "aperitif tastings," and a beautiful table decorated with local colors, the O'Papilles restaurant favors organic, local, and sustainable products. The entire team shares the same ecological convictions and applies the 10 simple and respectful rules that govern the eco-dynamic management of the establishment.
In addition to reducing waste, selectively processing it and recycling or limiting the use of plastics, particular attention is paid to the quality and origin of ingredients: selection of local farmers and artisans, preference for organic products, direct harvesting of wild products (mushrooms, nettles, thyme, etc.), meat from natural farms, etc. True to these commitments, the chef does not serve any sea fish this far from the Mediterranean coast.
