Hortus Café

The café is reserved for visitors with an entrance ticket (full price €9, reduced price €7.50) or an Annual Gardens/Exhibitions Pass. This Pass offers unlimited access to the garden, temporary exhibition rooms, and the Hortus café for one year (during opening times) and offers a reduced rate for accompanying persons.

Launched in 2022, Hortus Café offers an ideal setting for this self-taught chef of Italian origin, who needs a connection with nature, cooks by the light of day, and draws inspiration from this ever-changing environment. Creating a connection between food and gardens was Alexia's goal when she changed her life: to give meaning to her own life by giving meaning to her food and to the food of others. Above all, it is her love of sharing that drives her, the pleasure of bringing profound joy to others when they sit down at her table.
And to achieve this, Alexia chooses her ingredients with the utmost care. Her connection with local producers, as well as those sometimes located far away, is very important to her. She strives to find the best wherever it may be, to share that little extra something that resides in each ingredient. "It's an incredible job!" she confirms, readily sourcing her tea from Brittany, her plant-based milk from Lyon, or her mozzarella from Naples, for example.
