Les Chineurs de Malts – Artisans Distillateurs

Produced with passion in the heart of Provence between Le Thor and L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, each whisky reflects the know-how and uniqueness of the Chineurs de Malts – Artisan Distillers.
The French whisky production project was born in 2020, marking the perfect marriage between the expertise of spirits merchant, Loïc Puviland, and the passion of an oenologist, Jean-Yves Pomaret.
Their shared vision aims to create whiskies of great richness, reflecting the unique characteristics of the French terroir.
Loïc Puviland has been passionate about whisky for 20 years. He started as a wine merchant in L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue in 2011 and then became particularly interested in French whisky. Convinced that French resources provide fertile ground for the creation of great whiskies, he delved deeper into his research to realize his dream of producing his own version of French whisky.
Jean-Yves Pomaret, an oenologist at a renowned Châteauneuf-du-Pape estate for 15 years, began working with Loïc as a wine supplier in 2011. Passionate about great terroirs and exceptional wines, he was looking for an intense and captivating project that would combine the history and authenticity of a complex product.
