my princess weekend near Avignon
Varenne Castle
This weekend, I was able to fulfill my childhood dream in Provence. Near the city of Avignon, I put down my suitcases in the Varenne Castle, a former 18th-century residence overlooking the Rhône Valley. In the heart of the charming village of Sauveterre, this castle offers a break from time that I can only recommend.

First stop of the stay: I discover my charming suite. Bright, romantic, refined, it's everything I needed to start this stay in style. The little extra? Opening the large French window, I discover a pretty balcony overlooking the castle grounds. I then decide to explore the garden and its groves, before enjoy a very relaxing massageIf you prefer outdoor activities, the castle also offers a pétanque, ping-pong and croquet ground.
At the end of the day, I give in to my desire to take a dip in the estate's huge swimming poolGlass of wine in hand, I quietly enjoy the Provençal sunshine, before returning to my princess suite. Snuggled up on the four-poster bed, I feel like I'm in a little cocoon. Verdict: the night was royal!
my stay between vineyards and scrubland in Pujaut
Between Vineyard and Garrigue
For this next stay in the Grand Avignon, I have chosen to give myself a well-deserved break. I am taking you with me to the Chenet House, an unusual guest room built in a renovated old farmhouseLocated in the small town of Pujaut, the accommodation offers elegant rooms while retaining the charm and authenticity of old stones.

Each room is named after the trees bordering the building. For my part, I chose to stay in L'Olivier, a spacious, uncluttered room with a view of the restaurant's terrace. With its surrounding nature, the guesthouse is a true invitation to disconnect. Further afield, you also have the opportunity to explore the exceptional villages of the Gard region. I especially recommend visiting the old village of Les Angles and its painters' trail!

How can we talk about Maison Chenet without dwelling on its gourmet restaurant? During my stay, I had the chance to set foot under the table of this exceptional establishment, starred in the Michelin GuideI let myself be tempted by the menu. Father and Son InspirationHerb sorbet, cappellacci and celery puree… I can tell you that the taste is as good as the visual!
luxurious night in a 5-star hotel in Provence
Cassagne Inn & Spa
This morning, I wake up in an exceptional hotel in Provence. At the gates of Avignon, this old, typically Provençal country house has managed to preserve its old-world authenticity. Strolling through the building, I fall under the spell of its traditional facades bordered by delightful flower-filled courtyards. The garden, meanwhile, forms a truly relaxing green setting. I let myself be carried away by this comforting atmosphere of a family home, lulled by the scent of lavender. I feel right at home there!

All this relaxing atmosphere makes me want to relax. That's good: the hotel is especially famous for its spa and wellness area. Between jacuzzi, sauna, hammam and even a hydromassage bed, the place brings together all the ingredients to make you spend a moment of pure relaxation. For an optimal experience, I also recommend you opt for a body or facial treatment. You will leave totally relaxed!
A wonderful discovery of the stay: the hotel's gourmet restaurant. Run by Philippe Boucher, a master chef of France, the establishment offers cuisine that perfectly combines tradition and innovation. I loved the restaurant's enchanting setting and the warm atmosphere. Not to mention, of course, the flavors of the dishes, which left me speechless. If you're a food lover, you can go there with your eyes closed.

an authentic night in Morières-lès-Avignon
Lavarines Estate
For this last unusual weekend in the Grand Avignon, I chose to stop in the small town of Morières-lès-Avignon, at the Domaine des Lavarines. Nestled among vineyards and olive trees, this beautiful Provençal house offers an intimate and peaceful escape, far from the hustle and bustle of the city. The estate has three lovely, tastefully decorated rooms. I opted for the Luberon room and its exotic decor, inspired by various travels.

Once settled in, I decided to indulge in some relaxation. Without further ado, I took a dip in the estate's pool before treating myself to a well-deserved sauna session. The added bonus? The sauna is located in the garden, right next to the pool. Perfect for cooling off right afterward!

On Sunday morning, I enjoy breakfast on the sunny terrace. To my delight, I discover a selection of fresh, local products. Warm pastries, colorful fruits, homemade jams, and freshly squeezed juices… needless to say, I'm in heaven!
