Musée Les Arcades
A place full of memories and emotions that allows you to discover the world of psychiatry.
The history of psychiatry and the hospital center today is recounted through objects, photos, educational panels, and videos.
More than 150 years of history are told through the daily lives of patients and staff in the establishment, but also through the evolution of treatments, care and support, or even through the evocation of extraordinary people such as Camille Claudel, Liliane Jean…
The museum also aims to challenge visitors on the place of the sick person in society and provides food for thought on difference, exclusion and representations of madness.
A temporary exhibition space allows for the display of works created in the various CHM workshops, thematic exhibitions and the hosting of artists in residence.
