Le Grenier à sel

Opened in 2018 in one of the oldest buildings in the city, the Grenier à sel offers a multidisciplinary program in the field of visual and performing arts, at the intersection of art, science and technology.
In 2018, the EDIS endowment fund created the Ardenome and transformed the former Salt Granary into a cultural venue.
Today, L'Ardenome (re)becomes Le Grenier à sel, but its activity and philosophy remain unchanged: it remains a cultural venue dedicated to art and innovation, still free and accessible to all thanks to the support of the Edis endowment fund.
EDIS expresses its desire to support and promote this art within this emblematic heritage site of the city of Avignon and accessible to all audiences.
On the program: exhibitions, performances, live events, conferences and debates, residencies, workshops, etc.
The Salt Cellar is part of Digital Humanities, a field of research, teaching, and engineering at the intersection of computer science, the arts, literature, and sciences (fundamental, human, and social). Digital humanities are often explicitly rooted in a movement for the dissemination, sharing, and promotion of knowledge.
