Jardin Sainte Claire et jardin Pétramale
These two small gardens preserve the memory of the meeting of Laura de Noves and the poet Petrarch... a romantic stopover in the heart of the old town.
On April 06, 1327, the Italian poet Petrarch met Laura de Noves here, who would become his muse and inspire his most beautiful writings.
Of the former Sainte-Claire convent where this meeting took place, only a few buildings remain, currently occupied by a theater.
The Sainte-Claire and Pétramale gardens offer a place of relaxation for everyone: families and children will find a playground to have fun, older children will find benches to sit on and enjoy the surrounding nature, and lovers will of course be able to stroll in the footsteps of Laura and Petrarch...
Animals are not allowed.
