This cycle route, created on the route of the old Comtat Venaissin railway, is a greenway from the south of Orange to Carpentras and from the south of Carpentras to Velleron. The rest is on shared roads.

Description
The Via Venaissia is a cycle route running through the Comtat Venaissin and which connects the Via Rhona to the Mediterranean by bike, passing through Orange, Carpentras, Velleron, L'Isle sur la Sorgue over approximately 52 km, of which approximately 70% is a greenway.
This route is now complete and perfectly secure between the south of Orange and Velleron.
It was created on the route of an old railway line, punctuated by old stations, some of which have been converted into restaurants.
The Via Venaissia is the cycle route allowing you to immerse yourself in rural and authentic Vaucluse in the heart of vineyards and orchards, along the canals and to discover its exceptional Roman and Jewish heritage.
The route is accessible via 3 TER stations (Orange – Carpentras and L'Isle sur la Sorgue).
Several local loops marked on shared paths branch off from the greenway, to guide you in exploring the surrounding villages.
