Description
Set off on this 19 km loop from Chico Mendes Park and cross the green hay meadows lined with canals, as well as the residential districts of the village of Montfavet.
This route will show you a multifaceted landscape, in an urbanized area where the natural heritage has always been preserved.
Please note: this walk is not a greenway, but passes through small paths (shared path), used primarily by local residents and farmers.
The starting point is Chico Mendes Park. To reach the park from the historic center of Avignon in complete peace and quiet, take the Chemin des Canaux greenway (add 3 km one way): https://avignon-tourisme.com/offres/le-chemin-des-canaux-balade-a-velo-avignon-fr-4288848/
You can follow the loop in either direction of a clockwise direction and it is accessible to the whole family.
