Numerous recreational and sports facilities are available: BMX track, skate park, fitness trail, city stadium, ping-pong tables, but also football and rugby pitches and athletics ring, fitness area, among others...
Ideal for families with the Happy Box for children: a space over 8 meters high which combines climbing, trampoline, slides, ladders, tunnels, three-dimensional nets.
Close to the city center, the place is very easily accessible by tram.
Right next door is the nautical stadium with its outdoor pool open all year round and heated to 29°.

FITNESS AREA
Requested by Avignon resident Faiza Belazghari and created as part of the city's first-ever participatory budget, a fitness area allows you to exercise outdoors in a green setting.
HEALTH PATHWAY
780 m long, this signposted fitness trail provides 4 pieces of equipment for the general public to allow everyone to exercise while getting some fresh air.
BIODIVERSITY TRAIL
The Plaine des Sports site offers a nature trail allowing visitors to learn about Biodiversity in which several themes are addressed (one on the Mediterranean environment and flora, one on the riparian wetland environment, reading tables on auxiliary insects, pollinators, birds of the site, etc.). Numerous insect hotels and nesting boxes for wildlife are installed and decorated (with organic paint) in collaboration with the Pierre de Coubertin school.
BALL PLAY AREA AND ATHLETICS RING
The current football stadium has become a landscaped, open-to-all ballpark. The athletics ring around the stadium remains usable for training, jogging, and leisure activities, and a blue resin coating has been applied to nearly 2370 m².
SKATE PARK
A highly sought-after facility, the Plaine des Sports skatepark has not changed in its layout, but its environment has gained in quality and facilities thanks to landscaping, the installation of a water point and a public toilet, and the development of a new board sports area, the pumptrack, in the immediate vicinity.
A campaign pledge by Cécile Helle, the Plaine des Sports skatepark is the first facility dedicated to this sport to have been set up in Avignon. Joined in December 2015 by the one on Île Piot, both immediately found their audience.
PUMPTRACK
Popularized throughout Europe in recent years, the pumptrack is a track with a succession of bumps and steep turns. Right next to the skatepark and accessible to everyone, regardless of age, you can practice all types of skating: BMX, scooter, roller skates, skateboard, longboard, and even children's bikes... On the ground of the Plaine des Sports, colored markings delimit 2 courses according to their level of difficulty (blue for beginners and red for occasional and experienced users).
TABLE TENNIS
Located near the main square, the city stadium and around the other racket courts, three ping-pong tables allow you to play with two or four people!
RUGBY FIELD
Stripped of its long perimeter fences, but fitted with brand new galvanised steel ball stops with blue netting, the rugby pitch remains unchanged; it becomes accessible to all.
CITY STADIUM
Larger than the city stadiums already established in Avignon, this new facility features two “2-a-side basketball” courts, adjoining a multi-sports field. This main area, equipped with combined facilities, offers the opportunity to play various sports, such as basketball, outdoor futsal, handball, and more.
BOWL GROUNDS
Near the brasserie, refurbished and open to the public very soon, an area dedicated to pétanque and Lyonnaise bowls is available.
HAPPY BOX
Unique in France, the happy box is a monumental intergenerational play area over 8 m high! Able to accommodate up to 60 users at the same time, it offers slides, trampolines, play areas (climbing, ladders, tunnels, free courses, three-dimensional nets, etc.), all on a stabilized surface, to the delight of children...

Climbing wall 10 to 15m high, holds are already fixed up to 3m high.
