Alert

Between Caderousse and Châteauneuf-du-Pape, the route climbs for about 1 km so you can enjoy the panoramic view of the Rhône and the vineyards. The view is worth the effort.
After the town center of Sorgues and up to the exit of Le Pontet (and the resumption of the greenway), the route is provisional. It requires the greatest vigilance. The route is not recommended for children.
It is best to take the train from Orange or Sorgues to get to Avignon.

Description

The route climbs for about 1 km and crosses the vineyards on the hillside and offers beautiful views of the Rhône valley. After Sorgues and as far as Pontet, the 3.5km crossing of industrial and commercial areas requires more vigilance, up to the greenway of the canals, at the entrance to Avignon; nice introduction to the city of the Popes.
With children, take the train from Sorgues or Orange stations to get to Avignon.
