The Via Rhôna is a Eurocycle route which links Lake Geneva to the Mediterranean and crosses Vaucluse for around 72 km, divided into 2 stages:

After Lapalud, the route crosses the agricultural plain to the Donzère Canal, then continues at the foot of the Mornas fortress, to Piolenc, near the bathing lake
About 3.8 km from the village of Lapalud, is the Girardes lake, accessible for swimming and water and leisure activities.
From the Li Piboulo lake, you have two options.
Continue towards Caderousse, on the greenway route bordering the Rhône.

Join the Roman city of Orange and its famous Arc de Triomphe and its Ancient Theatre.
Gentle arrival at the Provençal village of Caderousse surrounded by its powerful 19th century dike protecting it from the vagaries of the Rhône.
From Caderousse, the Via Rhona runs without much difficulty to the Orange/Châteauneuf du Pape river stop. A photo at the Château de l'Hers and then on to the island of Oiselay in Sorgues.
The route is dotted with numerous river islands: Ile des Brotteaux, Islon Saint Luc, Ile de l'Oiselay, Ile de la Barthelasse, true green lungs and varied bird sanctuaries, offering beautiful getaways or shaded breaks.
The elegant Sauveterre dam footbridge will allow you to cross the Rhône, Avignon is approaching and there the Vaucluse stage ends.
