Description

Departing from Nasbinals, you hike through bucolic and varied landscapes such as Aubrac, the Causses, Mont Lozère, the Tarn Gorges, the Cévennes, or even the Rhône Valley, until you reach Avignon where Guillaume de Grimoard was elected pope and enthroned under the name of Urban V in 1362.

This is a spiritual route that blends nature and history. Four UNESCO-listed sites are present along this route: the Camino de Santiago (GR65), the Causses and Cévennes, classified for their agropastoralism, the Pont du Gard, a famous Roman aqueduct, and finally Avignon with its Palais des Papes complex and the Saint-Bénézet bridge.
