This walk through the vineyards of Saze and Rochefort du Gard crosses part of the Signargues vineyard.
Along the route, white and green number 51 directional posts guide you. The place name and/or the direction to follow are indicated in bold italics and in quotation marks. Follow the description below:
D- Take “le chemin de Pesquier” to the north, turn right onto “chemin des Ecoles” then “rue du Clos du Temple”.
Turn left onto “Allée des Platanes”. Cross the roundabout, immediately turn right then left. Follow the signs to “Rochefort du Gard”.
Go around the village, then return towards “Saze”.
Loop east before returning to your starting point.

Description
From Saze to Rochefort, the vineyards stretch from the plain to the edge of the villages. This is the realm of Côtes du Rhône and Côtes du Rhône Villages wines, including the Signargues appellation, a powerful red with delicate tannins. A first loop in Saze follows the Issarts path. Upon arriving in Rochefort, you'll gain some elevation from the Castelas viewpoint, where you can take in the sweeping panorama of the plain.
Don't hesitate to visit the cellars and estates of Sazain and Rochefort to taste these emblematic wines of the Rhône Valley.
