Description

A discovery of the architectural and artistic heritage, of the history of the city from a new angle and of understanding the origin of the water which seems to flow from the source.
The booklet is enriched with knowledge on the toponymy (study of place names) of the streets you will cross, on the architectural elements (fountains, canals, etc.) as well as the presentation of works from museum collections and old plans from the city archives.
This route is punctuated by presentations of works of art belonging to the different museums, thanks to QR Codes.
Let yourself be carried away by the flow!
The route guide is available at the Avignon Tourist Office and can be downloaded from https://www.volubilis.org/les-parcours-urbains/
This course is suitable for all audiences.
The visits are free; each person with the guidebook can take the walk whenever they wish.
We still recommend that you visit it when the museums are open so that you can visit them and see the works in real life!
