Description

In Avignon, since 2014, city and nature have been reconciled.
The tree charter and consideration of biodiversity are the pillars of these trails through the shadows.
Accessible on foot or by bike, set off to discover them!

The first 3,8 km route – lasting 1 hour 10 minutes, takes you through the western suburb:
The succession of parks, gardens, squares and planted paths creates a veritable green corridor in the north-western suburb, composed largely of fruit, edible, honey-producing and aromatic plants, useful to birds and pollinating insects.
This “edible” green belt is a continuity of biodiversity and nature, havens of freshness and relaxation.

The second route, 5,7 km – lasting 2 hours, takes you this time to discover the South-West and South-East suburbs:
A tree-lined path connects existing and existing parks and gardens to the green belt, an exceptional agricultural area. Parks, gardens, and planted pathways gradually trace a continuous natural path connecting the southern and northern Ring Roads to Chico Mendes Park. The canals, so common in Avignon, partly structure the route.
We set off to discover secret historical or contemporary spaces where nature is omnipresent.
