In the heart of the Côtes du Rhône vineyards, from which it originated, Roquemaure is located on the banks of the river, and provides quick access to numerous walking possibilities, with Mont Ventoux in its sights.

Our house is an old 18th-century farmhouse, divided into two separate dwellings. A private part, previously restored, and a part dedicated to guests, which my wife and I renovated and decorated.

It consists of three bedrooms on two floors and a shared kitchen at your disposal.

Outside, a 30m² terrace and a 600m² garden with an 8x4m swimming pool with jacuzzi.

It is located in a quiet residential area, in the village of Roquemaure, 16km from Avignon and ideally located between Vaucluse and Gard to discover the tourist hotspots of the South.

The village has a rich history, particularly thanks to its geographical location on the banks of the Rhône and its proximity to Avignon.
Facilitating the transport of wine, of which it was a hub, it was here that the Côtes du Rhône appellation was created.

Today, the remains of the castle and the Collegiate Church bear witness to this prestigious past. The latter remains important, as it houses the relics of Saint Valentine, giving rise to a votive celebration every year attracting many worshippers. Its Baroque organ is listed as a historical monument.

Apart from the many tourist and cultural sites in the region, the wine industry shapes the landscape.

We are close to the famous vineyards of Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Tavel, but also Lirac, Laudun, Chusclan,
less known but worth a visit and a tasting for enthusiasts.

In addition, the estates regularly organize activities around wine but also local gastronomy, or even Gallo-Roman history which has left us many vestiges.
