From June 2 to September 26, 2025, the Tourist Office of Grand Avignon invites you to discover the region with an innovative mobility solution: the Light Electric VehiclesThese new means of transport, halfway between a bicycle and a car, offer a fun and environmentally friendly alternative for exploring Grand Avignon via small roads.
This unique tourist experiment in France is made possible thanks to a collaboration between the Grand Avignon, ADEME, and the Fabrique des Mobilités. Its goal is to collect user feedback to fuel the development of low-carbon transportation alternatives. The daily loan is free of charge, but requires essential user feedback from testers. We're counting on you!
What is a Light Electric Vehicles?
Its scientific name is " intermediate vehicle " but its little name is véli. It falls into the category of bicycles and rides at 25 km/h thanks to its electric assistance. Driving is reserved for adults and it is the driver, handlebars in hand, who pedals!
- Safer and more stable than a cargo bike
- Less bulky than a car
- Ideal for a tourist discovery



A fun experience, accessible to all!
That you are passing tourist ou inhabitant of Grand Avignon, these vehicles are made available free of charge for the duration of the experiment to allow you to:
- Discover Provence in slow mode
- Take marked routes
- Enjoy a unique view of the landscapes
- Testing an alternative to the car
The objective? Participate in the development of a new innovative mobility solution while enjoying an original getaway.
Want to experience an original and accessible adventure?
To support this experiment, 5 discovery loops have been imagined and mapped. They will guide you through the emblematic places, typical villages natural sites ou heritage du Grand Avignon.

Where, when and how to test the experience?
- Dates: from June 2 to September 26, 2025.
- Withdrawal point : at the Tourist Office of Grand Avignon, located at Villeneuve lez Avignon (Charles David Square).
- Booking : online or directly at the Tourist Office
Once your booking has been confirmed (you will receive a confirmation email), a travel advisor will call you for further details and advice. On the day, you can pick up your bike directly from the Tourist Office, at Villeneuve lez Avignon, between 9 a.m. and 10 a.m. All you have to do is explore the suggested tourist routes, before returning the vehicle to the Tourist Office before 17 p.m. and completing the user questionnaire.
The reservation of intermediate vehicles is totally free ! When booking, we will ask you to provide the following before each departure:
- La ID of the driver
- Un €500 deposit check to the order of the Mobility Factory
- There’s nothing quite like a driver's civil liability certificate.
- Le loan agreement signed
