Théâtre Golovine

All audiences come together in this true house of dance: loyal spectators or curious passers-by, young audiences, so-called "disabled" audiences, passionate amateurs or movement professionals.

For nearly 50 years, the Golovine Theatre has championed dance with conviction and high standards. Throughout the year, its programming showcases contemporary choreographic creation, appealing to both adults and children. Each summer, the OFF DANSE Festival crowns the season and affirms the place of choreographic movement as a vibrant and engaged artistic language.

In an intimate setting nestled in the heart of Avignon, a stone's throw from the Palais des Papes, the Théâtre Golovine offers much more than just shows: exhibitions, meetings with artists, practical workshops and creative workshops for children and adults punctuate the season.

A place for sharing and conviviality, the theatre also houses a tea room open on Wednesday afternoons and on performance evenings, offering a warm space to extend the artistic experience.
