Théâtre des Halles

Since 1983, the Théâtre des Halles has hosted and supported artistic adventures throughout the year.

Listening to companies, directors, authors, the theater has developed a lasting bond with an audience that it hopes will be as wide as possible and loyalty with many artists.

Alain Timar, as a director, also pursues creative work that shines nationally and internationally.

The programming follows the same standards: actors with a strong presence, dense works, and openness to other cultures. The performances hosted are the result of artistic collaboration and resonate with the company's own creations.

Through the shows offered in season or during Off festivals, the team always maintains this course: to reflect and propose a vision of the ideal city, full of dreams, certainly, but also of fraternity and humanism: a truly living theater.

The Théâtre des Halles is supported by the Ministry of Culture, DRAC Provence Alpes Côte d'Azur, the Sud – Provence Alpes Côte d'Azur region, the Vaucluse Departmental Council and the City of Avignon.
