Théâtre Au Vieux Balancier

The Théâtre Au Vieux Balancier has the charm of yesteryear, with its original floor and exposed stonework. The program is eclectic but remains primarily focused on theater (classical and contemporary) and the holding of forum theaters.

The Théâtre Au Vieux Balancier aims to be a tool for reflection focused on social, societal, and philosophical issues. Through forum theater performances and a literary-based theater program, most of the issues presented or debated within the association are of broad interest to all cultural stakeholders, as well as those who are usually excluded from it.

The Theatre Management is committed to cultural democratization and public recognition, and to supporting creation and production. It is based on artistic and humanist principles, as well as political choices that guide its actions.

The Théâtre Au Vieux Balancier aims to serve and present works primarily from contemporary theater or the classical repertoire, which it may produce or co-produce, and whose dissemination it supports in live performance networks. This venue also aims to be a place of exchange with the holding of public debates.
