Les Hivernales – National Choreographic Development Center of Avignon has been working to develop dance in the region for over 45 years.

Throughout the year, the CDCN-Les Hivernales develops activities to raise awareness of choreographic culture and its dissemination, by hosting shows, choreographers in residence and by organizing meetings or workshops in its theater.

Two highlights punctuate the season:
– Les Hivernales in February: A historic festival of the French choreographic landscape, Les Hivernales is an unmissable event in the heart of winter.

– The “We Dance in Summer Too!” Festival: In summer too, Les Hivernales – CDCN remains a benchmark for dance. Every year in July, several regional, national and international companies have the opportunity to present their shows to the public, professionals and journalists.
