So beautiful
Water and stones
To fully appreciate the atmosphere of this village, we recommend a short walk in the center. Between the Sorgue and the old stones, how about a little beauty?!
The wash house
What a story that is about the Saint-Saturnin washhouse! Since the middle of the 19th century, he witnessed lively conversations between the washerwomen.
It was thanks to Mayor Joseph Nitard that residents were able to wash their clothes without getting their feet wet in the Sorgue in 1868.
Today, the washhouse is restored and it is the pride of Saint-Saturnin. It can be seen on the road to Pernes, near the bridge called "du Milieu". It still preserves the memory of a brand of Marseille soap, whose name can be read on a wall.

The crib
At Christmas time, the church houses a exceptional lively nursery.
On more than 50 m², you can admire in this place santons from different periods and of different sizesSome are made of cardboard, others of wax, like the Holy Family which dates from the beginning of the 19th century.
There is more than 150 subjects, and some of them are even animated. You will see Mary rocking Jesus, the woodcutter chopping his wood, the drummer playing his serenade, and many other scenes from Provençal life.
An unusual visit that is worth the detour as Christmas approaches!
