By highway, you will be only 4 hours from Barcelona, 2 hours from Lyon and 1 hour from Marseille via the A7 and A9 motorwaysDepending on where you are coming from, be careful to choose the right toll.

Arriving towards Lyon or Marseille on the A7, the Sun Highway, exits 23 Avignon-Nord ou 24 Avignon-South will allow you to access the municipalities of Vaucluse.
Coming from the South-West (like Montpellier) or from the North on the A9, exit 22 in Roquemaure ou 23 in Remoulins will be your gateways to the Grand Avignon.
