When gastronomy meets conviviality and heritage, the result is “The Chefs’ Surprise”, one of the highlights of the festival Good Good 2025. For a rustic lunch, three big names in local cuisine have created exceptional menus to be enjoyed in unique locations around the Grand Avignon.

On the occasion of the Bien Bon festival, which celebrates each year the flavors and terroir of Grand Avignon, the event “The Chefs’ Surprise” comes back the Sunday September 21 2025On the menu: menus created by big names in local gastronomy, to be enjoyed in exceptional locations, with live music and a friendly atmosphere.

These rustic and festive meals promise a rare experience where gastronomy, culture and heritage blend perfectly!

A unique concept: 1 chef, 1 place, 1 manu

The principle is simple:

  • 3 star chefs each invests in an emblematic place of the Grand Avignon,
  • They imagine a complete menu (starter, main course, dessert), served cold in a gourmet crate,
  • The meal is accompanied by a free concert and a tour of the venue.

Price: €38 per adult / €25 per child (menu + 1 drink included).

Mathieu Desmarest at the Manguin Distillery – Avignon

Talented chef, awarded Best Apprentice of France, Mathieu Desmarest seduced by a cuisine that is frank, inventive and focused on the essentials.
Get comfortable in the heart of the orchards of Barthelasse Island, under the pear trees of the Manguin Distillery, for a rustic and musical lunch. Between two saxophone notes with Latin accents, discover the unique world of the distillery and its exceptional spirits.

Florent Pietravalle at the Domaine Le Clos des Sources – Roquemaure

Michelin-starred and awarded a green star for its sustainable approach, Florent Pietravalle (La Mirande) offers creative, plant-based cuisine that enhances naturalness.
The setting: the Clos des Sources family farmhouse, shaded by plane trees and overlooking the vineyards. A meal punctuated by Brazilian sounds (bossa, samba, afro, etc.) creates a sunny and festive atmosphere.

Maxime Chenet at the Domaine de Rodolphe – Morières-lès-Avignon

At the head of the Chenet House, Maxime Chenet embodies refined and committed cuisine (anti-waste, respect for the land). In the historic setting of Domaine de Rodolphe, enjoy lunch under the oak trees, with a piano-voice concert with soul and French song accents.
