Our day begins at Jonquerettes, a charming little town in Grand Avignonwhere the walk is immediately pleasant. We take small paths through magnificent vines, already offering impressive views of the Mont VentouxThe colors of winter make the landscapes even more beautiful and offer wonderful photo opportunities. This initial part of the route is ideal for immersing yourself in the gentle tranquility of the Provençal countryside.

The Graille hill: 360° panoramic views and Mediterranean vegetation

Arriving at Saint-Saturnin-lès-Avignon, we begin the climb up to the Graille HillThe climb is moderate but pleasant, and we are quickly rewarded with a 360 ° panorama Breathtaking. Avignon, Mont Ventoux and the surrounding agricultural landscapes unfold before us in the soft light of early December, magical for the eyes and the mind.

On the hillside, the Mediterranean vegetation is splendid: holm oaks, pines, and aromatic plants such as thyme and cade juniper. It's a true sensory journey, where sight, smell, and even hearing are stimulated by the sound of the mistral wind and the fragrance of the herbs.

Descent towards Saint-Saturnin: chapel and honey house

As we descended the hill, we passed a small chapel of war vowsA discreet yet moving spot that punctuates the hike with a moment of calm. Along the way, we also encounter the Butineuses honey house, a stop that will delight lovers of local products.

Next, we arrive at the village center, where the café square invites us to a well-deserved break. There's nothing like a coffee and a croissant to warm up and enjoy the charming and friendly atmosphere of the Provençal village.
