This psychological exploration continues in arias from operatic masterpieces such as Ariodante, Giulio Cesare, and Rinaldo, whose protagonists embody the Baroque hero suspended between virtue and passion, expressed through virtuosic vocal writing with strong dramatic impact. Alongside the celebrated melodic purity of "Lascia la spina," the program incorporates the instrumental dimension of Suites HWV 427, 432, and 437: here, stylized dances like the Sarabande and the Passacaglia take on an almost philosophical rhetorical density, offering moments of suspended meditation.
