Zola… Not like Émile!!! is a story/rap diptych that addresses the naturalization and Frenchification of first names of children born in France to foreign parents.
Based on his individual trajectory and documentary words collected from adolescents and young adults, Forbon N'Zakimuena weaves the dramaturgies of two complementary shows, like two sides of the same audio cassette, one in a room (Side A_Clean Version), the other in a public space (Side B_Street Version). On this Side A, through the writing of an autofiction, he unfolds the thread of the administrative and emotional journey taken to recover his full first name following his application for naturalization.
