Visites commentées de l'exposition "Des raisonnements déraisonnables"
Le Grenier à sel 2 rue du Rempart Saint-Lazare 84000 Avignon
Dedicated to Julien Prévieux, a major figure in the contemporary art scene, the exhibition highlights the challenges, flaws and absurdities of a world controlled by "intelligent" machines.
Videos – Sculptures – Drawings – Installations.
The exhibition "Unreasonable Reasoning" examines language systems as structures of power and regulation of human behavior. Julien Prévieux explores this question through two fields of application: spatial activities on the one hand, and artificial intelligence on the other.
The exhibition presents a selection of the artist's seminal works as well as a collection of new creations, produced specifically for the exhibition. These latter works, focusing on the malfunctions and invisible processes of artificial intelligence, pay particular attention to the hallucinations produced by AI.
The common thread running through all the works is a questioning of the control of machines, their possible flaws, and the absurdity generated by this profusion of digital languages.
