Located on the old rural road that led to Pujaut, the Notre-Dame-des-Sept-Douleurs chapel, probably built in the 17th century, was once frequented by quarrymen who transported stone from the Carles quarries to Avignon.
It was the object of numerous pilgrimages and devotions before being sold as national property during the French Revolution, then acquired by the municipality at the end of the 19th century. The restoration work carried out in 2019 highlighted its architectural qualities, notably its stone slab roof and two Tuscan pilasters framing the door with its curved pediment.
