Come discover this unique place in the heart of Avignon. Completely closed to the public since the beginning of the 19th century, the former Carmelite convent opens its doors to you for a tour led by volunteers and residents.

La Respélid' is a new living space designed on the site of the former Carmelite convent in Avignon.
An intergenerational, social, cultural, and spiritual third place. A space for social innovation, open to the city of Avignon and its challenges. Purchased in December 2022 from the last Carmelites, the convent is now owned by Oykos. The association for the “Third Place of the Carmel of Avignon” is responsible for leading and facilitating the convent's redevelopment project.
She coordinates a series of initiatives to extend the human and spiritual influence of this incredible place, renamed: la Respélid', a Provençal word meaning "rebirth".
Discover the chapel and the sisters' choir, the garden, the community rooms, the workshops, etc.
