Visite commentée «Le Fort en Révolution !»

Fort Saint-André, 57A rue Montée du Fort 30400 Villeneuve-lez-Avignon

Guided and / or commented visit

A visit in uniform takes you back to the French Revolution: period objects and documents evoke the daily lives of soldiers and civilians. A demonstration showcases the equipment and the 4,5 kg flintlock rifle.

Visit Fort Saint-André with veteran "La Mousse" in his uniform during the turbulent times of the French Revolution from 1789 to 1793. Through period documents and objects, step back in time and discover the daily lives of the soldiers, prisoners, and civilians who passed through the fort during this intense period. Also take part in the Soldier's School: like the young national volunteers of yesteryear, wear the soldier's equipment—caliber cartridge pouch, revolutionary caterpillar helmet—and handle the 4,5 kg flintlock rifle!
