Viens, je te raconte en musique… Le Lac des cygnes

Through readings accompanied by piano, this show offers children a sensitive and playful immersion in the great works of the repertoire. Children's picture books will come alive thanks to readers from the Avignonet library and a pianist who will provide listening sessions featuring the major musical themes of the works.

On the program here is the iconic ballet Swan Lake, which tells the story of a young princess named Odette, the victim of a spell cast by the sorcerer Rothbart, who is condemned to live in the form of a swan during the day and only becomes human again at nightfall.

The production also relies on an immersive visual world: costumes, wigs, and accessories related to the story are displayed in the performance space. The readings will be performed on a Butai, a small Japanese picture theater that encourages a lively reading experience and enhances the poetic and spectacular dimension of the performance, while also offering a mise en abyme of the show's world.
