Variations
Cloître Saint-Louis 20 rue du Portail Boquier 84000 Avignon
The Living Art Workshop presents a group exhibition of works by adult and child students: drawing, painting, sculpture and photography.
"We are currently living in a distraught world, prey to murderous storms, whether they are nationalist, identity-based or climatic.
It is then up to art, very modestly, to look at the upheaval of certainties, including formal ones, by choosing to privilege the play of variations: those which inflect the gaze and which, changing, moving, show us the side paths, the bursts of uncertainty and the shimmering of the margins.
Thus, in these very variations we may perhaps distinguish the form of a guiding line, the one absent from this bouquet.
This is what will be mobilizing the students of the Workshop: the adults in the painting, sculpture, drawing and photo creation classes, supervised by Rose Lemeunier, Silvia Cabezas-Pizarro, Susanna Lehtinen and Alexandra de Laminne, and the children who, supervised by Frédéric Cousinne, will present an installation.”
Eve LEWY-BERTAUT
90 paintings, 71 drawings and watercolors, 28 sculptures, 20 photo creations and a children's installation will be exhibited.
Opening on Saturday, January 31st at 11am.
Free.
