Vᵉ République (on n’a pas trouvé mieux)
Théâtre des Halles Rue du Roi René 84000 Avignon
Why do we vote? For whom? And what remains of our power once the ballot is placed in the box?
True to its documentary theatre, the Cassandre company questions our democracy from the citizen's perspective.
By blending political history, investigations, debates and everyday situations, the show sheds light on the paradoxes of the Fifth Republic without ever giving in to certainties.
With humor, he questions our relationship to voting, representation, and civic engagement, while reminding us that democracy remains a living, fragile construct, constantly evolving and needing to be reinvented together in the face of today's and tomorrow's challenges. The play offers a critical perspective on our institutions and invites everyone to continue the discussion.
