The legendary spirit of the Blues Brothers comes to Confluence with "The Official Blues Brothers Revue", an explosive show blending rhythm'n'blues, soul and rock'n'roll.
The duo, consisting of Kieron (Elwood Blues) Lafferty and Wayne (Jake Blues) Catania, was selected by Aykroyd, Belushi Pisano and the original musical director of the Blues Brothers, Paul Shaffer, to take up the torch first lit by the iconic duo Aykroyd and John Belushi on Saturday Night Live in 1978, and then immortalized in the eponymous hit film directed by John Landis in 1980.
Backed by the renowned Intercontinental Rhythm & Blues Band, The Official Blues Brothers Revue is an interactive multimedia experience showcasing their undeniable talent in songs that form a veritable encyclopedia of rock, blues, and soul. Audiences of all ages rose to their feet to applaud the duo as they performed classics such as "Soul Man," "Gimme Some Lovin'," "Sweet Home Chicago," and "Shout."
One critic recently raved: “…this frenetic show exudes the same genuine energy as Aykroyd and Belushi’s performances. Less talented performers might be tempted to let their characters descend into parody, but not Catania and Lafferty, baby!”
