In 2021, an archaeological survey carried out on the edge of the road from Mirabel to Vaison-la-Romaine uncovered the remains of a rite associated with a dump of ancient cult objects, among which was a life-size statue of a goddess.

This remarkable discovery has raised many questions: what rite is it? what deity does the statue represent? and above all, where is its sanctuary?
A multidisciplinary effort involving research, analysis, and comparison has provided some answers…
