Sur la place chacun chante – Carmen Parade

What if the Opera left its walls to transform Avignon into a true open-air stage? This is the spirit of Sur la place, chacun chante, a lyrical promenade during which residents and artists will unite their voices in the streets of the city.
You don't turn 200 every day! For its Bicentenary, the Opera Grand Avignon invites you to join us outside the walls for a grand promenade "In the square everyone sings – Carmen Parade".
This Saturday, September 19, from 15 p.m., the artists of the Opera, the Choir and the Children's Choir, a banda and the participants will make the great arias of Bizet resound in the streets of Avignon.
From the Habanera to the Toreador, and many other tunes in between, the parade will move from place to place until its grand finale in the Place du Palais des Papes. Quite something.
And since Carmen loves freedom and love is a gypsy child that no one can tame, come as you are… or in disguise!
