“I can’t help it. The blank page doesn’t frighten me. A piano stool is often the only place where the world stops being too noisy, too complex. A guitar resting on my knees helps when everything becomes too fast, too heavy. Then harmonies and melodies emerge, set to texts by my writer friends Philippe Djian and Martin Suter.”

And then I play these musical seeds for other friends. They start playing with me, encourage me to record them, and other musicians join in, other hands too. And suddenly, these songs come to life. They become an album, find their title: Gold Dust…

It's time to share them, like a still-warm loaf of bread placed in the center of a table.
