Stage sensoriel jeune public au musée Angladon

Musée Angladon 5 rue Laboureur 84000 Avignon

Initiation / discovery within the framework of an event

Smell before seeing. Touch before understanding. This workshop invites children to explore the museum in a different way: through their nose, their hands, and the gestures of the collector and the couturier.

Four days to learn to observe a garden, a smell, a painting, a fabric, and to create something entirely your own.

Day 1 – Tuesday, August 25: Setting off on an expedition

Hats, scissors, boxes, and notebooks in hand, we headed to the gardens of Avignon for our first collection: leaves, flowers, fragments, initial impressions to be recorded in our notebooks. Then it was back to the museum to discover Nathalie's scent library, dozens of bottles that each tell a story.

Day 2 – Wednesday, August 26: Naming the Invisible

The previous day's collections become a herbarium, handled with all the care that fragile elements require. Then it's time for play: guessing the scents of plants, spices, flowers… and inventing colors, words, and textures for them. Each guessed scent becomes a drawing or a collage.

Day 3 – Thursday, August 27: Exploring a house-universe

The Angladon Museum was once the home of the Angladon couple. Each room retains its own character: the living rooms, the library, the blue bedrooms, the 19th-century gallery. Children explore these spaces like explorers, spotting patterns, objects, furniture, fabrics, frames, and laying the foundations for their own imaginary world to recreate!

Day 4 – Friday, August 28: Creating your collection

The museum is full of portraits with remarkable costumes. Inspired by them, the children create playful collages combining their discoveries from the week with elements gleaned from the artworks, to imagine their own little fashion collection.

Final exhibition of the week's creations, followed by a snack from 16pm.
