Semaines d'information sur la santé mentale
Divers lieux Divers lieux 84000 Avignon
Mental Health Information Weeks (MHIA) are an opportunity to build partnership projects and talk about mental health with the entire population.
The 37th edition of SISM takes place from October 05 to 18, 2026, around the following theme: "For our mental health, let's repair the social bond".
This year's theme on the arts draws in particular on the 2019 report published by the World Health Organization, based on more than 3000 studies, which confirms the positive effects of artistic activities on mental, physical, and social health. According to the WHO, artistic activities "provide benefits whether one is a creator or simply a spectator, and whether the art is chosen by the individual or guided by a professional." They promote emotional regulation, reduce stress, strengthen social bonds, and contribute to the prevention of depression and isolation. The arts also play a role in the recovery of people affected by mental health conditions and in reducing social inequalities in health by facilitating the participation of audiences often excluded from traditional services.
