Summer and winter alike, a whiteness persists at the summit of Mont Ventoux. This giant is our Provençal Mount Fuji. At its feet, countless springs flow silently, emerging here and there.
Some are well known: Fontaine de Vaucluse or the source of Groseau.
Joël-Claude Meffre, poet and archaeologist, and Ji Dahai, painter and calligrapher, visited about twenty sites in a single year. Ji Dahai sketched each of these emergences in his notebooks, drawing on the spot with ink and brush. Joël-Claude Meffre sought in the sources of his words the voice that listens. It was in Brantes, after their last visit, that the word "resurgence" emerged as the key.
