As a consequence of centuries of invisibility, it remains difficult to identify the works of female composers, to find them, to decipher them and to play them in order to bring them back to life.
These observations, noted in particular at the Présence Compositrices Festival, led to the creation of the Centre Présence Compositrices and the platform “Ask Clara”.
Despite progress, much remains to be done to ensure these works are truly programmed and taught. This first edition of the competition aims to accelerate this recognition.
