Seat belts that are too short, boots that won't fasten, orders coming from all directions, disapproving looks, bizarre diets, a jumble of emotions. A mind in constant questioning, at the heart of which the scale plays a dominant role.
Peau d'Orange is a corrosive plunge into the daily lives of people who are different, a moment on stage during which the artist, sometimes humorously, sometimes tenderly, dismantles prejudices. An ode to the acceptance of all bodies.
Peau d'Orange is a one-woman show that is both intimate and universal. Through sincere and direct writing, the performance explores the complex relationship with the body, self-image, and the gaze of others. With sensitivity, humor, and strength, it gives voice to the concrete everyday lives of people considered a little too broad in a somewhat narrow-minded society.
This show offers a space for speech and emotion, an invitation to reflect on norms, judgments and self-acceptance.
