Thanks to the Avignon Terre de Culture 2025 program, Avignon Bibliothèques and the BnF wished to strengthen their cultural cooperation by offering the public a new series of conferences, “Patrimoines croisés”.

– Saturday, February 21, 2026 at 15 p.m. – Maison Jean Vilar: “Le Courrier d'Avignon”, with Jérôme Triaud, director of Avignon Libraries.
A veritable living organism, a matrix of 18th-century Avignon public opinion, Le Courrier d'Avignon has recently become accessible on Gallica, the digital library of the BnF (National Library of France). This meeting will be an opportunity to discuss the production and various political orientations of this emblematic newspaper, a key element in the development of the press under the Ancien Régime, as well as the technical expertise required for its digitization.
– Saturday, March 21, 2026 at 15 p.m. – Renaud-Barrault Library: “The archives of the Renaud-Barrault company,” with Joël Huthwohl, director of the Performing Arts department of the National Library of France.
– Saturday, April 18, 2026 at 15 p.m. – Maison Jean Vilar: “Recent acquisitions from the municipal libraries of Avignon and the BnF,” with Jérôme Triaud, director of Avignon Bibliothèques, Karine Klein, deputy director of Avignon Bibliothèques and head of the heritage library, and Jean-Baptiste Raze, head of the library at Maison Jean Vilar-BnF
