Monsieur Bois is an orchestral creation for very young audiences that offers spectators the extraordinary story of a piece of wood who questions the world.
Mr. Wood, the tip of the highest branch of the oldest tree in a magnificent forest, has no choice but to cling to the fuselage of a Canadair one day when a fire is raging. This is how he finds himself flying. What follows is a fall, an encounter with a Kipik tree—which will become his friend—and a long journey through strange lands. An incredible adventure for a little piece of wood. A quest driven by dreams, by the waves, by the notes...
This concert for thirteen musicians and a puppeteer bears witness to the intersection of imaginations and intergenerational experiences of audiences in the orchestra's territory.
