Michel Akrich – « Le flou n’est pas une idée abstraite »
Salle de la Manutention rue des Escaliers Sainte-Anne 84000 Avignon
The collection "Blur is not an abstract idea" brings together several autonomous photographic series, yet linked by the same obsession: to probe the shifting territories of perception.
Blur, here, is a subject for reflection, a sensitive tool that questions our relationship to the visible. Blur invites us to look beyond form, to accept instability as a fertile source. It unsettles perception to open a space for feeling, doubt, silence, or sudden emergence. Each series explores a threshold: that between presence and absence, between movement and stillness. The photographs are the result of a photographic act conceived as a poetic and contemplative practice that eludes control, that escapes the sharpness of reality to better reveal its permeability. Blur then becomes a space of hospitality for what we cannot yet name. Blur is not a mistake, nor a flaw, not even a concession. It is a choice, a stance, a language.
Opening reception on Thursday, September 10th from 18pm to 20:30pm.
