Magie et transmédia : la fantasy sous toutes ses formes

Bibliothèque Renaud-Barrault 6 rue Perrin Morel 84000 Avignon
What do Conan the Barbarian and Wicked have in common?
The comparison may be surprising, and yet these works both belong to fantasy, a transmedia genre that has been expanding rapidly for almost a century.
These imaginaries where magic plays a central role develop in different media forms simultaneously, giving birth to extended universes where novels, comics, music, films and even video games complement each other.
One work of fantasy can quickly hide another...
But how can we navigate when the same story has so many different facets? Through a brief history of the genre, we will revisit this multiple origin and the interactions between the different media forms.
We will delve more specifically into the transmedia saga
The Witcher, created in 1986 by Andrzej Sapkowski and which today extends into novels, video games, series, board games... and even a musical.
