Lumières d’eau
Cloître Saint-Louis 20, rue du Portail Boquier 84000 Avignon
Watercolor is a writing "of water and soul", a writing of the trace, of evocation, and if we associate it with other writings: We move forward in a SENSITIVE WRITING, a relational support, a universal journey.
Thus, our role as contemporary artists will lead us, during this exhibition at the Cloître St Louis, to explore this inspiration through the gathering of works by our finest French watercolor artists, witnesses and participants in our current events, in the great diversity of their styles. The public will be eager to listen to what resonates within them and will reinvent emotions and perspectives.
With this new presence of the French Watercolor Society from March 13 to 22, 2026, after six wonderful encounters experienced in recent years at the Saint Louis cloister and an audience coming from all walks of life to share the pleasure and passion of our art, Avignon is becoming an essential place for contemporary watercolor painting.
Opening on March 13th at 18pm.
